In collaboration with my Mother, documenting the effects of infection induced delirium whilst falling ill in India. Later diagnosed with spinal TB, Mother experienced vivid and disturbed hallucinations. Photography was used as an anchor whilst engaged in my caring duties - an attempt to find order in the chaos. After three years passed, we collated this selection of images and written extracts made by Mother whilst hallucinating. Exhibition of the work proved both healing and cathartic and opens conversation around mental health, care and culture.
